Mojo Monday 178

Good afternoon!  My new Monday morning fun is to play along with the Mojo Monday challenge.  Here is the sketch,,.

This is what I came up with...
I used all current Stampin' Up products.  I really liked how it turned out as I am fairly new and my creativity is not so great even with a layout in front of me.

The stamp set is Sense of Time, I have been eyeballing it for awhile and finally got it with my Sale-A-Bration order to qualify me for free stamps sets.   I stamped the clock face in Early Espresso on Crumb Cake card stock and matted that onto Bravo Burgundy cardstock.  I stamped the gears in Soft Suede onto Very Vanilla cardstock and then sponged the entire Very Vanilla piece with Crumb Cake.  I colored the sentiment with markers: Early Espresso and Bravo Burgundy and stamped that on Very Vanilla cardstock matted onto Bravo Burgundy.  I put vintage brads in the corners, made a "ribbon" out of Bravo Burgundy cardstock and tied a little hemp twine ribbon at the bottom of that.  Oh, I almost forgot.  I wanted a distressed look so I took a razor (don't try this at home) and scraped it along the edges of the Very Vanilla cardstock, made a couple of little tears (I didn't want to over do my first attempt) and there you go!  I will be ordering a distressing kit today so I can play a little more and safely!

I hope you enjoyed the card and a Happy Valentine's Day to you!!!

Mojo Monday 177

Hello!  I decided to play along with the Mojo Monday contest this morning.  Here is what I came up with.  I used all Stampin' Up! products.  The colors I used were Soft Suede, Certainly Celery, and Pink Pirouette.  I used the Inspired by Nature and Just Believe stamp sets along with the Elegant Bouquet embossing folder and the Embosslits Beautiful Wings die.

I had to laugh when I noticed the last challenge I did I used pretty much the exact same colors and the same stamp set.  Thanks for visiting and enjoy the rest of your day!

Stamp-N-Design Challenge

Hi Everyone!  I am so new at this blogging thing, so please bear with me.  I just finished creating this blog for the purpose of posting the card I just made for the Stamp-N-Design Convention Swap Layout Challenge. In order for me to post my entry, I had to have a blog.  I have enjoyed viewing the blogs of others and I hope you will have enjoyed visiting me here today.

Here is where I tried to add the links to the original cards made by Lynne Pratt who was inspired by the card made by Latisha Dinkel.  They are both very pretty cards.  I am a complete novice at blogging and do not for the life of me know how to add a link (where are your kids when you need them?).  Lucky for me, I do know where you can find them.  Sorry it is a direct link to the cards but you can find both cards at:   http://stampndesign.blogspot.com/

Lynne used my favorite stamp set, Just Believe, for her card. So I found another favorite of mine, Inspired By Nature, to create my card. I chose the colors Chocolate Chip, Wild Wasabi, Pretty In Pink, and Whisper White. Here is what I came up with...

I hope these cards inspire you to create one of your own and perhaps enter it into the Convention Swap Layout Challenge.  I am off to find a bloggers tutorial to learn how to navigate around my new blog spot!  Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful day!
